Other - Education - July 2006

I'll be a junior this coming up school year, and I've been thinking alot lately about what's going to happen after graduation. As much as I want to be out of the house, and on my own, there's a part of me that wants to stay for forever. Since the day we were born, we've depended on our parents, friends, etc. and when we graduate we'll be on our own, and in a way we'll have to learn how to live again. We'll have to get used to everything we need not practically being handed to us. We will have to work, and support ourselves, all on our own. Not to mention alot of friendships will be lost, as we all move on, and grow up. It's sad. These are the people we've grown up with. I'll get to my question now. How many of you guys that have already graduated, stayed in contact with friends? How many friends? And to those of you who haven't graduated yet. How do you feel about it?

i don't get how summer school works. cuz like....if u graduate 1 yr. early...dont u have to take a bunch of summer schools. i don't get it. help! explain summer school to me.

With they way that the American School system (only K-12) has been on a downward path, should the gov't spend more on bring the schools up, or work to eliminate public schools and lean towards funding on Private schools. Since the world works supply and demand, wouldn't competing schools with better educations be sought out and schools alike would have to raise thier standards to compete?
Comments? List pros and cons. No stupid answers please.

I am actually afraid if people like the ones on this site will run our world in the future. The fact it that they won't. We will be a third rate power because the educated people are now mostly from other countries.

Can anyone here compose a coherent sentence? Will you be happy when nit-wit people like Bono and other "stars" become our political leaders and consciences?

Is anyone as embarrassed about this beside I?

Doers anyone really think Hip Hop is music? Do you realize that Madison avenue is just stuffing this stuff down your throats?
