Reality shows are all too real. Many people cannot speak, write, talk or punctuate. They are called teenagers. They like hip-hop, amongst other things. They will decide which care home you die in. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
Hope this helps,
M.

I am an educated young adult, but sometimes I do not use the correct grammar online. I am not saying that it is right, but "this generation" is used to having informal conversations online through instant messaging. When typing fast it is easier to use abbreviations and slang.
I also believe that many young people are frustrated with the current government and the inspirational music and speeches of celebrities is encouraging. It seems they are the only population doing anything to get huge issues like global warming, hunger, and so forth to the public.
Hip Hop is music, if you think about what you are saying it is a lot like the reaction to rock'n'roll. While it may not be to everyone's liking, it does possess the components of music.
I believe that reality shows share some of the elements of reality, but that they are highly staged.
There are young adults out there that can put together a complete sentence, but they usually aren't the ones wasting time online answering random questions. They also do not get the kind of exposure that lower achieving young people seem to.

1. It irritates me when people can't use correct spelling or grammar. I can't figure out if they are just lazy on the internet, or if they really are idiots.
2. I am extremely embarrassed by it.
3. I enjoy some hip hop music.
4. I think reality shows are dumb. I like watching documentaries.

Blame it on all the education. Education needs to go back to the basics and there would be less illiterate children. The new math is a joke. Kids can't do problems in their heads. They count on their fingers or use a calculator. Now they face exit exams that they aren't even prepared for. This will only cause more kids to quit school.

I agree with you. It is quite embarassing. I've seen some horrific errors here. Words just being thrown onto the screen with no regard for error. I'm not saying everything has to be perfect, but it is a problem. I don't think they will run our world, because there is enough people who care about what they write about. Well enough of my philosophy.
