Homework Help - April 2007

It's for a school project. I can't seem to find anything impressive looking that would really demonstrate to young kids just how much 454kg or 1000lbs actually is. I was thinking of a smaller car, but even the smart cars weight 1600lbs. Can anyone give me some good examples? Thanks!

You may or may not remember me. You were the first English teacher I had when I came to the US for 5/th grade. I recall myself being limited to using the words "I don't speak English." I have 2 problems that I can't figure out and my parents don't remember how to do. Please help me!! grade depends on it!!

1) Circle O has a central angle measure of X. Minor Arc DF has a measure of 4x-30. What is X?

2) PAB is a secant to circle O and meets at point A. PCD is secant to circle O and meets it at point C. PA= 4. PB= 18. PD=24. What is the length of PC?

im just a little confused about what my teacher is asking. the prompt is
