1) Jo adds up all the positive integers from 1 to 50. Kate does a similar thing with the first 50 integers; however, she first rounds every integer to its nearest multiple of ten (rounding 5's up) and then adds the 50 values. What's the positive difference between their sum?

2)The sequence 2,3,5,6,7,10,11 . . . contains all the positive integers from least to greatest that are nether squares nor cubes. What is the 400th therm of the sequence?

this is refering to emotional or moral preparations.

The examples don't explain how to solve these.

"find two solutions of the equation. give your answers in both degrees and radians. do not use a calculator".

a.) Sin : 1/2

b.) cot: -1

----
Use a calculator to approximate two values of the angle (has to be less than 360 degrees) that satisfy the equation.

1. sin = 0.8191
2. csc= -1.0038
3. sec= -1.2241

Is there a set of rules on how to do these? Please try to explain step by step.

Thank you so much in advance.

Can you guys please check my grammar on this essay?

Our brave soldiers might be fighting in Iraq at this moment. It would be much easier to enjoy your life if there weren't so many things trying to kill you every day. However, it would be a disaster if soldiers who had been sent to Iraq come back with fatal bacteria. According to the writer of “The Invisible Enemy”, Steve Silberman, the entire article is about the spread of anti-biotic resistant pathogens, a problem in hospitals here in the US and Europe. It is not specific to Iraq. It is about hundreds of thousands dying as a result of bacteria brought home from Iraq. Silberman wants his readers to realize how the bacteria can be dangerous to American as well as all over the world. He just listed problems, didn’t give solution about the problems. He should have covered the progress of growing bacteria.

Thanks, I love you people!!

The example I have been given is...
The Sun, the Earth & the moon.
The Sun is not part of the Earth but the Earth gets its light from the Sun.
This is all I can seem to remember.
Can anyone finish this or is there another analogy I can use? I have a presentation to do on Plotinus.
