1) Jo adds up all the positive integers from 1 to 50. Kate does a similar thing with the first 50 integers; however, she first rounds every integer to its nearest multiple of ten (rounding 5's up) and then adds the 50 values. What's the positive difference between their sum?

2)The sequence 2,3,5,6,7,10,11 . . . contains all the positive integers from least to greatest that are nether squares nor cubes. What is the 400th therm of the sequence?

1) the difference is 25. The integers' sum is 1275, but when rounded to their nearestmultiple of 10, the sum is 1300.
