In my english 10 class, each one of us had to pick a book and our teacher gave us an assignment that was due next week. im stuck at those 2 questions because i dont understand them.

does this mean that i have to write 8 essays? or i have to come up with the assignment, but not actually do it. im very confused because i dont think you can do three major writing assignments on a theme of one book.

well i know that friction acts in the direction oposite to motion and eventually causes an object to come to a stop. So how does it cause an automobile to start moving if it acts in the opposes the direction of the wheels of the car?
why does a car not move on ice when there is no friction, shouldn't it move? very confused thanx to the people who help

story that conveys the importance of understanding either ratio and proportion or percents. Your story should be mostly non-mathematical, so that someone who has never taken a math class can understand what you are saying. The important thing is that you convey your opinion in such a way that the story is fun to read. Feel free to use humor, hyperbole, or whatever.

I posted this question earlier..BUT I didn't get the answers I was quite looking for.

They were excellent suggestions..but it'd be a little difficult to write about the selections given (Thank you to those who answered!)

Anyway. I need to write a short story..less than 5 pages...and it can be about anything.

It can be happy or sad, a mystery, or thriller.

i'd like it to be something i can test (not like "what is the effect of pollution on earth?")

This girl likes shopping at the Georgia Mall.
When compared to me, she is really tall.

I would say that for sure she’s quite smart.
She also has an interest in art.

She likes to go to the beach and have fun,
laying out underneath the coastal sun!

Cookie Dough ice-cream is the best to her.
Say she is ugly then I must concur!

Dancing was her best in the early years,
But all she does now is tumble and cheer.
