My science teacher is also very picky, I don't have a great like for science, but my teacher loves me, when i was in 7th grade ? I was studying physical science. If that's what you're studying you should consider doing an experiment which involves chemical and physical changes. i did something along those lines, i'm afraid that's the best help i can give you. I force myself to forget my 7th grade science fair because i remembered doing the whole thing in one night i still got an A but that was the worst night of my life! Don't do what i did, start your project now, and do it good, very good, I'm sure you don't want to end up like my former friend who did bad in seventh grade is now a friendless drug addict.

About 100 years ago, when I was in 7th grade, I did my project on the rate of decomposition of typical garbage items. I used an apple core, a baggy, Styrofoam and some other stuff- I can't remember. Anyway, I measured them all, buried them in the backyard and remeasured them a few times over the course of the project. It's a good environmental project. I suggest if you do it though, don't bury stuff that you KNOW isn't going to change in a month. I had fun with it, but then, that's the kind of fun we had 100 years ago.

Good luck...and don't hate your teacher.

Visit this site. I did this experiment in 8th grade. It was loads of fun (you get to BURN stuff!!!) and it only took me a couple of days to complete.

If you need variables, just use different kinds of nuts. :)

Hope this helps!!!
