You should let your teachers and principal know that you were absent on account of a family trajedy. Unless they are completely heartless, the teachers should let you have extra time to finish missing assignments.
If you were failing before missing school, then start doing work. Passing school is 99% effort. You can be dumb as a rock and still pass school as long as you do your homework on time and if you put effort into it. And don't dare try to blame it on your teachers--they don't hate you, they fail you because you didn't do well enough to pass. Sorry if I sound curt, but I hear a lot of that kinda stuff.
If all else fails--summer school is hella easy and you get credit for it. *shrug* What else are you gonna do over the summer, anyway?

If you are telling the truth about your grandparents
(I am so sorry to sound llike that, but the school will
I am so sorry about your losing them, that is really a shame) Go to your school councilor, (be prepared they might ask for a copy of the death certificates) and explain that you need a tutor, or some extra time. Don't put it off, it is too important.
Not too many people like summer school, but they are shorter sessions than getting held back for a whole year. You will be glad you went to summer school if you need to make up classes. It is better to get it over with. Good luck, sweetie

I'm sure your teachers would understand your situation, or they are really bad people and shouldn't be teachers. Just try your best and stay positive, that's about the only thing you can do right now. Even if you fail you can always go to summer school...it's a great place to meet new people...

You should try to get your parents involved with this one,,, assuming they know you were already having problems at school. If not,, you should try to explain the situation to perhaps a guidance counselor & or the teachers themselves. Perhaps they could come up with a way for you to work on the missed material. If you are serious about the situation,, However give that you were not doing well to begain with it might be hard to convince them of your sinceritiy to succeed. Good luck.

All right, here's the deal. If you get 3 F's in school all year, you can't advance to the next grade level/graduate. In that case, you have no choice but to go to summer school. So try to keep your grades up; if you need to, you can go to S.S., but if you think your SAT scores went well, you can wait it out and see if you did OK enough to advance.
P.S.-Sorry about your grandparents...
