I've been stumped on trying to prove the following trig identity for the last two hours, I got the other nine on my worksheet after considerable trial and error. :) Can someone please give me a hand with this monster? Thanks:

(cot^2(x) - csc^2(x)) / (cot^2(x) - cot(x)csc(x)) = 1 + sec(x)

He has a number of problems to do and it's been years since I've done algebra (at least with fractions). The anwer would be fine but I really need the steps to work it out so he can do the rest of them . Thanks in advance:
21=-3/2(x-2). That is, 21 equals negative 3 divided by 2, times x minus 2. Thanks again.

I have to quote things for my book report, and one of the quotes i used says what a sign said. Do you put what it said in ' ' or do you put it in small capital letters, like a book would do?

“The running path started out like a normal track, with closely cut grass on either side of it, snaking between the baseball diamond and the lacrosse field, then curving past the dog runs and around the parking lot. Then it left the grass behind, and disappeared into a surprisingly thick forest. Yeah, a real forest, right In the middle of nowhere, with a discreet little brown sign that said WELCOME TO THE ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTRY ARBORETUM by the side of the path.”- Page 13

the capital part is small and capital, like a book would say
