i have a timeline where i have to annotate 10 events or literary items that have to do with the world on terrorism starting from 9/11

You really have waited until the last minute for such an assignment. It would seem to me that you would easily find what you need by looking at newspapers and/or news magazines in your library either in school or in your community. Maybe you can ask for and receive an extension that will give you the time you need. Good luck!!

9-16-01 osama bin laden deines involvement in the attacks in statement to al jazeera TV.

10-2001 US Patriot Act is signed where the government has power to listen in on communications.

10-01 there is a scare of anthrax in letters being sent to media as well as to congress.

10-8-01 US leads air strikes against afghanistan to defeat the Taliban and find Osama

1-02 President Bush's state of the union address declares iraq and iran axis of evil

11-02 president bush signs a law creating the department of homeland security that is in charge with protecting the us against terrorist attacks

early jan 2003 bush government makes steps to invade iraq. britain urges us to hold of invasion unless more proof.

2-15-03 1.3 mill ppl gather to protest war in Iraq

3-03 Bush states that UN will vote for invasion of Iraq but 11 days later Bush calls off vote and says they will go ahead with invasion.

3-10-03 3 diplomats, John Brown, John Brady Kiesling and Mary Wright resign because they are opposed to war.

3-20-03, Bush announces attack and bombs are dropped in Baghdad.

5-03 Bush announces they found biological laboratories. turns out that they were factories to produce hydrogen for weather balloons. No real evidence of weapons of mass destruction.

7-04 senate says US went into war in Iraq based on false information. 9-11 reports show how government (CIA/FBI) was a flawed institution.

11-2-04 Pres Bush elected for second term.

3-06 Congress renews the patriot act, the main piece of legislation for the government's fight atgainst terrorism after opposition that it violated civil liberties.

5-06 al qaeda conspirator Moussaoui is sentenced to life in jail.
