given a 40 foot countour interval what would be the total elevation gain if you crossed 10.5 coutnour lines on a map
show all your work becasue i dont get it
and u dont have to give me the answer
i just want help on how to do it and the steps

"40 foot contour interval " means that when you cross contour lines on a map, there is a 40 ft change in elevation. If you crossed 100 contour lines, you'd gain 40 * 100 = 4000 ft.

So the elevation gain will be found by multiplying the number contour lines crossed by the interval.
