I'm doing a book report on a book called Avalon High, and my teacher wanted us to get quotes from the book, and so I got my quotes but in one of my quotes some one is talking so it has quotation marks around what they're saying and the talking ends when the quote ends... is this the correct way of doing the quotes, because microsoft word that its a grammaticaly incorrect phrase:
“Mr. Morton had risen from his chair. Now he stood clutching the edge of his desk like it was the only thing keeping him upright, murmuring something…-I was surprised to hear him saying, ‘Too late. Started…so soon. I had no idea. We’re too late. Entirely too late.’ ”
