I'm writing a bibliography for a school project, do you number each source or just leave it?

If I remember correctly, the MLA standard does not use numbering. You should be fine if you leave the numbers off, unless the teacher has explicitly stated that you must number the bibliography.

As a side note, the MLA standard is the one used in most grade-school classrooms all the way up to and including high school. The teachers are all drilled in the MLA standard from their days in college, which is why it's so widely used.

Depends.
Are you using footnotes? If so, yes. Superscrip 1 coorsponds to superscrip 1 at the bottom of the page.

Are you using a Works cited page? If so, no. Just list all your sources, according to current MLA standards

Just checked with a recent student and yes you still need to number your sources.

No numbers. Just arrange the bibliographical entries in alphabetical order by the author´s last name.
