I'm thinking about finishing school through a homeschooling program. I've checked out programs like continental academy and citizen school. My mom is worried that I won't get into college doing this. Have any of you done a homeschooling program and can you tell me anything i need to know about them? thanks!

A square piece of cardboard was used to construct a tray by cutting 2-inch squares out of each corner and turning up the flaps. Find the size of the original square if the resulting tray has a volume of 128 cu in.

geography bees, or jeopardy contestents, i'd bet money most of them are/were homeschooled.... and you don't have to be an expert in a subject to teach it to the high school level, hey, most teachers aren't experts anyways.

This is for one of the mother's who brought their kid to Home Schooling where I go. Once I complete my first college course, I can skip my last HS courses, and take 2 or 3 college courses via Home Schooling. That woman ave me a good idea. I wouldn't need a HS Diploma if I can do college courses.

If she is reading than there is a problem, because about two minutes after she is done reading she doesn't remember what she read. Any suggestions.... need real help (no jokes please)
this only happens when she is doing Scienc and Social Studies (two subjects she does not like)

I was home schooled all the way from preschool through high school. I've graduated and I'm in college now, but along the way, people would always ask me and my mom things like "Is this legal?" or "How do they make friends?" Now I want to ask y'all something--does everyone think that way about us?

I am looking for a site that has a template of 1st grade writing paper, with the dotted line in the middle of two lines. Everything is on the internet, and I can't believe I can't find this. I was trying to work with my 1st grade grandson tonight with handwriting. We haven't bought his writing paper to use at home. I am a retired reading specialist and didn't expect to be teaching again. Unfortunately, my grandson is in one of those nightmare 1st grade classes, so I will be teaching him after he gets home from school. The teacher seems to think she teaches phonics but she told me that they don't teach long and short vowel sounds or irregular vowels. (That's just one little little aside to illustrate my frustration.) Thanks for any help.
