I am looking for a site that has a template of 1st grade writing paper, with the dotted line in the middle of two lines. Everything is on the internet, and I can't believe I can't find this. I was trying to work with my 1st grade grandson tonight with handwriting. We haven't bought his writing paper to use at home. I am a retired reading specialist and didn't expect to be teaching again. Unfortunately, my grandson is in one of those nightmare 1st grade classes, so I will be teaching him after he gets home from school. The teacher seems to think she teaches phonics but she told me that they don't teach long and short vowel sounds or irregular vowels. (That's just one little little aside to illustrate my frustration.) Thanks for any help.

I've never tried to "answer" on my "adding details," but I am SO thankful! This is the greatest group of helpful people, and I'm thrilled to have great resources!

Thanks, suni! I agree! I've never tried to use special paper with other children and grandchildren. I was pushed to it because my grandson is receiving poor handwriting grades because he goes above the dotted line. (Imagine that?! First 2 weeks of first grad? Sigh.) And he's upset. The websites for downloading the paper has been such a blessing.

It doesn't matter what paper you use, because you are taking the time to teach your grandson, he will learn anyway. I taught all my children to read and write and I never used specific grade writing paper. All my children have great handwriting. Good luck and congratulations on being a fabulous grandparent

Well, someone beat me to it. Donna Young is the best I've seen. they also have lots of copy pages, too. I used them all the time last year with my now 2nd grader.
Hmmm, trying to teach reading without vowels???
I'm sure your grandson will really enjoy the time you two get to spend together.
good luck!

It's possible to spend a lot of time and money trying to find ways to show your children how to see and enhance their reading skills. Is hard to instruct a small child how to learn, and also tempting them to read is a challenge in itself. But it doesn't have to be like that as you got the help of the program https://tr.im/110pC , Children Learning Reading program.
With Children Learning Reading you may teach your son or daughter how to separate your lives appears and break words in to phonemes, an essential point whenever your child is simply learning how to spell.
The studying process from Children Learning Reading program allows you for kids to read quickly and properly, from simple words to phrases till they learn to see stories.
