If the mrechant buys 30 dozen pairs of gloves then he bought a totoal of 360 pairs of gloves. (30*12=360) So he has 360 pair of individual golves... but if you need to know how many gloves he has total then it would be 720 (360*2=720)
I hope this helps you out a little. It is hard to know exactly what you are supposed to figure out. DId youi type the question exactly as it was in the problem? Just a question.

Each dozen is 12. If you multiply 30 by 12 you get 360 pairs.
Was that the first question on your homework and are you planning to ask more till we do it all?
