I want to know how would i get my highschool diploma if i was homeschooling...? Is there anyway of doing that?

ok I act,sing,and dance.. well in order for me to go to casting daily i have to be home schooled..but my mom and stepdad dont believe in it or say they dont have time.... my friend(who is a year younger and also entertains) goes to schoo three periods a day then comes home and she goes to public school... I go to private... I have til the end of the year to convince my parents to let me get home schooled, also my private school offers home schooling... what should i do??? I am a striaght a student also

It makes no sense to me. I was home school Prek- public in first, then 2-5 was all home school. I hated every waking moment of it. Why would parents take away the greatest joy in a child's life-- that is socialization, friends, people... I'm in 8th grade now and I just can't even stand to say the word anymore. I hated it and I wish people wouldn't do this to their kids, it's not fair on their part. Do you agree, or am I just the worst case scenario for a homeschooled kid?

i have two reasons i'm posting this question, one, because i want to know if there are more single mothers out there who homeschool their kids. it's hard enough being a single mom but then to be your children's educator is even more difficult. also what does your ex think about that? is he/she supportive? my ex once told my daughter that she needs to go to real school. but when we were married, he would complain that American school were horrible and he supported my desire to homeschool. i'm guessing the fact his wife's children are in public school may be the reason. she may have talked him out of the benefits of homeschooling. and the second reason, i want to post my yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/christianmomshomeschoolretreat/
