THere are many wonderful programs available for homeschooling that provide quality education like the k-12 program. Another idea is that if your parents can afford a private school, they can proabbly afford a private tutor. Tutors are typically trained in education and can give you a quality education, much better than any public school. Maybe you could sell them on a tutor.

Your parents are much more open than I would be, I would not let a minor child get into the entertainment business. I have seen what it has done to many other people. Let them be adults before they get into that cutthroat business.

You sound like you are old enough to take responsibility for your own education. Perhaps your parents will buy a curriculum for you to do on your own. Read some books on homeschooling, and read some of the questions and answers in this category. Put together a plan for your education for next year and present it to your parents. When they see all the work you have done, they will be more likely to approve your request.

Also, you could look into some classes at your local community college. They usually have an early admission program that allows high school students to take classes for college credit.

If your school offers homeschooling, then I don't understand why your parents would have a problem, they really won't have to teach you at all. I was homeschooled all through high school and I basically taught myself. I only had to go to my parents when I really had a problem with something. If you go through your school you could probably have the help of your teachers so then your parents wouldn't have to worry about that. Get information on homeschooling from your school for your parents, then show them that you will be able to do your work on your own, and that it won't bother them. Good luck. Spend less time worrying about becoming a famous star and worry more about your education. Less than 1% of actors make it big and don't have a career to back up their life. SCHOOL COMES FIRST!!!

Although, I also understand that you love entertaining, so why not work on it after school hours?

Well, hon, if your parents are not in to homeschooling, then your attempts probably will not be too successful.
What is your parents stance on your career? I have two friends that have "professional kids" like you are describing, and they homeschool so they can pour in to the careers. If your parents are in to you being a professional then you may try that approach with them.
If you live in a large metropolitan area, research performing arts schools. We have one in our area and it is a perfect option for busy parents with super talented kiddos like you.
But, everything is in your parents court, and you are going to have to find out what is most important to them. Do they want you to pursue the performing arts, or do they have something else in mind for you.
The key is communication. Talk to them, listen and make sure that you research your reasons and present a qualified, intelligent support of your position.
If you go to them all "Ooooooh, I wanna do this, pllllllleeeeezzzzzzzzz," well for the most part that just doesn't work too well.
And if they tell you no, then listen to their reasons for the no and if it something you need to change about you, then work on it, and approach them again later.
good luck.

I believe that you are being faced with a challange and should really think this through on your own. I would say stay at school, but you think about the pros and cons of both and then make your decision.

Tell them about online school and if their worried bout you staying home by your self then just be like Ohh I'll be fine!!
Reasearch other homeschoolers in your area and meet them. That might make it easier to convine your parents!! I homeschool myself online!!
