Higher Education (University +) - November 2006

I'm an accounting major (6 classes to go til I graduate) but lately I've been thinking that I would like to be a doctor (perhaps a pediatrician). Do you have to take Premed classes in College before you can go to medical school?

I'm high school student and going to graduate next year.
I'm still confused of which major i want to take in Uni. I like both anthropology and biology, but i'd always loved science.
I heard that biology involved a lot of math, physics and chemistry...is it?
Well..in my high school, the biology class doesn't really involve those subjects that much.
..and what can i do with that major after i graduate?
How does it feel like studying biology in Uni?
Any recommendations...? Thanx.

i feel like this question needed updating so sorry if u have already answered this i am taking a college history course us history 101 and our midterm is on the Mormon faith movement in history
we started the course on the civil war and what caused it but that's not even on the midterm nore is the forcing of the native Americans off there lands we have to pick from 3 questions and write a paper on two them
the questions are

how were the Mormons persecuted for there religion

what separated the Mormons from other faiths

how were Mormons falsely accused of block voting

and why was Joesph smith murdered for something he didn't do

now i am not Mormon but as u can see these question are biased to make the Mormons look good he also said we are not allowed to talk about the moutian medow massicer because it was carried our buy some Mormons and not the higher ups can he make me do this paper or can i refuse to do this since. it is forcing his religion on me

It seems like everyone in my class went away somewhere except me. i go to the community college. I don't know what I want to do, and I never liked the idea of dorming. I'm not a big drinker and I think it would just be a bad match. Usually it doesn't bother me that I didn't go away, but I was just browsing facebook and saw that tons of my classmates are in big universities..

BUT i'm still at a point in time where i dont know wat to do after uni..
shld i start working immediately?shld i travel for a fair bit say 1-2mths??

i feel kinda direction-less...HELP!!

Which gives me a better chance of employment.
Im not keen on job hunting or waiting for employment.
I'll much rather be employed permanently and settle down.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Science with no Nursing background.

I intend to be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist some where down the line, but I would not mind being a Nurse Practitioner except I hate to prescribe drugs because I wouldnt use them myself.

Does it make more sense to do the bachelor of nursing science because I have no nursing/medical background and so it would be easier?

Or will it be better to do the master of nursing since there is the option of me completing it in the same time as the Bachelor of nursing science and I will have to do it eventually if I am to specialise as a nurse.

And will it be easy for a Nurse Anesthetist to get a job?

I'm a student who has just moved to the states to attend HS and my old grades were transfered to my new school here in USA from Hungary (my home country). Now the problem is that my grades from 9th+10th grade really suck from there, like almost all Ds and Cs.. is there a chance for me to be able to attend American university/college? Apparently they look at all grades from 9-12th gr. I will probably apply to Montgomery college.
