I'm an accounting major (6 classes to go til I graduate) but lately I've been thinking that I would like to be a doctor (perhaps a pediatrician). Do you have to take Premed classes in College before you can go to medical school?

You don't need to declare "pre-med" as a major...but yes as a prerequisite you will need so many courses in Biology & Chemistry before entering medical school

um. Do you think you could get into a CPA program without ever having taken any courses in accounting? And if they did let you in, and all the other kids in class had taken four years of very tough accounting courses, how do you think you would do?

You can check the requirements for admission to medical school at a lot of sites on line. Take a look and match up those courses with what you've done. I guess we can assume you took chemistry, AP chemistry, calculus, calculus-physics and AP bio in High School so you will be ready for the pre-med courses you missed?

nicely, for sure you want to take lots of stepped ahead technology and math classes, alongside with AP biology, AP chemistry, AP anatomy and body structure, stepped ahead algebra, trig, AP calculus. (for med college, moreso than being an honestly known practitioner). also, you would want to take AP psychology and sociology. (that is a call for for school besides) because you're coping with lots of crap and also you may want to be able to leaf through diverse perspectives to assist your sufferers. next, in the journey that they offer it at your college attempt to take an allied well being cluster course. (2 years) and that'll get your foot contained in the medical field. volunteer at your close by well being facility; possibly even contained in the ER room. reliable good fortune. also, 4 years of undergraduate coaching, 4 years of medical college, and three to 5 years of residency coaching (that is paid) to be an ER known practitioner.
