It would be best if the loans can give at least $30,000, allows loans to be taken for undergraduate and graduate studies, and, if possible, does not require a cosigner.

I am withdrawing from college mid-semester. They want me to pay for the partial refund to the government because I am withdrawing before the "cut-off date". (I'm not sure what that means). What can I do? What should I do?

I worked really hard to turn my life around, I went from dropout to getting into a university in under 6 months. However, I live on my own at twenty and even so I'm not qualified as an independent and can get no money from fafsa, then on the flipside I have not established enogh history to get personal loans and have no opporunity for a co signer. Since I'm not eligable for grants and can't get student loans is my number up? Was all my work in vain? Is there no other route to pay for school?

I have this idea that could make me money. not exactly stealing college student's money. but I was a student at this college, and I use to buy used books off other students. a lot of times a book would sell for $45, but then the exact same book that another guy is selling would be $50...$55...etc

I was thinking I could try and buy a bunch of books that are selling for cheaper prices, and then selling them back for a $5-$10 difference

The university states the following:

"All incoming students receive a merit-based award, regardless of need. This includes a fellowship for tuition and health fees, as well as a stipend for living expenses ($31,000 in 2006-2007), for up to four years."

Could you explain this to me? Seems too good to be true?

I need help! I'm a 20-year-old Hispanic sophomore in college, majoring in criminal justice with a 3.2 GPA in Georgia. I am a full time student with a full time job, thus not having time to do "charity" work and other volunteer work. My parents have a decent amount of money, but they will not help me out in college. I do have the HOPE scholarship, but I need something else. Is there a scholarship out there for a Hispanic majoring in criminal justice without the need of volunteer work?? Thanks!

The lack of volunteer work and/or my parent's decent amount of income disqualifies me from all the scholarships I seem to find.

I will have about 45k in student loans when I graduate with my MA in May 2008. How long will I have to repay these loans? I am starting to get worried because I dont think that I will be able to do it in 10 or even 15 years. Has anyone taken out their stafford loans for more then 15 years?
