Are willing to totally change? God will not answer prayers if the person offering them has no desire to do what will be told to him. Would you give up you family? Your friends? Your home? Money? Lifestyle? Things you like to eat and drink? Would you be willing to share what you learned with every one? If you can answer yes with sincerity to every question I asked then get down on your knees and pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ to show you how to live your life. Pray 3 times a day (so you can keep your mind focused). Soon two people will ask you if they could share a message with you about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Say yes. Then you'll know.
HOWEVER - only pray if you really want to change otherwise God will not answer. IF you really seek - He will help you find...

i understand what you're going through. I'm your age and in a similar situation, hence my advice may seem a little discredited. But I'd advice you to look for a job just to keep you going financially, and in your spare time, try doing some self-learning from books, the net, etc. With regards to God, serving Him does not neccessarily mean having to be formally employed by the church. Let your life be a testimony to others, and that in itself is serving Him. Minister to the everyday Joe.
Smile, and let God's joy shine through you. People will wonder where you get your joy, and Then you can tell them. Be a sample product of His love. Thats the best ministry anyone can do.

If you're desperate and broken and you want God's will, then take a look at the Bible. There are stories of people who come broken and devastated before God, and he picks them up, dusts them off and helps them. Take a look at Job (he lost his family and land and pretty much everything he owned, but God found favor in him and helped him). Take a look at Psalms (David wrote most of Psalms and he came to God broken after he sinned and he found renewal through faith in God *Psalms 51:10-12!). Take a look at Jonah. He didn't do what God wanted him to, but he found out the hard way how to get there, and he made it in the end. There are so many stories, and I've only mentioned old testament stories. These are historical events that explain how God saved people from what seemed to be disastrous situations. God can work miracles, and if you expect God to work miracles and have faith, you might just see how great God is during your walk with him. Don't give up on faith in God, and follow him. I'll leave you with one more spot in the Bible, Ephesians 5:17. Really, if you want to know God's will, his best selling book and written memoirs about his relationship with man (the Bible) is the best place to start. Good luck and God bless, sorry this is so long.

Begin by reading the second chapter of Acts. Then ask Him to fill you as He did them, it has not changed. Find a church that teaches the truth (He will lead you to one). Once you get that far God will take over and as long as you continue to serve Him, He will take care of everything else. This isn't a fad diet or a used car rebate deal. This is as real as it gets.
But it's up to you. Are you dedicated and serious enough to live for Him? If so you can stop working so hard at life and let Him take care of that for you! He just wants a willing heart. Get 'er done!
