I am very confused as to why the FAFSA application period begins in January. I have never gotten my W-2s before about March and I have to wait on my parents' w2s as well. I do realize that some people must get their W2s early, if only because school people are already reminding me to file. Is there some way to hurry up your w2s that I just don't know about? Or maybe I'm just unlucky.

Hope everyone has a nice new year.

If I am planning on quitting my job to go to school full time - my financial aid amount would be increased since I will have NO income for the time I plan on attending school --- my question is -- How do I get the money I need if I have to report LAST years income? It doesn't seem fair since I wont even have an income and they will be basing my grant on the amount of money I brought in last year. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. THANKS! =)

Does anyone know if?
does anyone know if financial aid at a community college can cover the cost of off campus housing? If so, what types of financial aid programs can be used? Do they only accept loans or what?

I am thinking about going to dental school for 4 years after college, but I will be getting married in between. My future husband will also be in school, getting his master's, for 2 years. I am very worried about what our financial aid will be, since I will have college loans to pay off (I can borrow from parents). Dental school will be all on my own, though. Any idea what our financial aid will be like? Better or worse?

I am a 23 year old single mom of a six year old boy and i need to go to college bad to help support him. but I don't know how im going to work and go to college at the same time. Someone told me that the fafsa should pay for all of the college and have enough left over to live off of. Is this true? I mean how much does this grant pay? And is there any other options so I won't have to work that much and get college over with? And also is it true that after I turn 25 I can't get financial aid anymore?
