a letter from the phrases, MERRY CHRISTMAS MY DARLING.
In other words, the first sentence will begin with the letter "M." The second sentence, with the letter"E", etc. The last sentence will begin with the letter, "G." The story will have 23 sentences.
I think you get the picture.

I just created this idea and I think it will be lots of fun!!

I had to write it using kennings and alliteration, with two half line meter. It was hard just to do that! If I can stump my whole class with this, I get a prize, can any of you figure it out? How about any suggestions?

Ever stirring, never stopping,
A beginning, but no cease-point.
Weakens us, while was the life-giver.
We fight it passionately, but send it praises,
Tis’ quick ending, but always tramps on.
Slays us, the world-starter.
We measure it, the majestic eternal life.
Life-drainer flies and slows, but always stays the same,
Selfish and covetous, it cares not for us.
Flies with death, dances with eternity.

I think it's perfectly true (most of the time anyway), but what do you think?

It's one of those betwixt and between times, no longer Christmas and not yet New Year. I'd really value your suggestions as to what this 7-day period should be called. It has to work around the world, so Winterville etc might not be appropriate.
