Look for a home school group in your area. A lot of time they are involved with a co-op that has all sorts of classes offered. Ours has Creative Writing but I don't think you want to drive to Louisiana. Just do a quick search for the group you should be able to find one pretty quickly.

OMG i used to live in jacksonville for 10 years, but moved last year. My kids always went to a thing at a church where they did electives like oceanography, creative writing, and fittness. They always loved. I would try churches.

Edit: Yes even for highschoolers.

Please move to Collins, Mississippi...I will teach them for free!!!

There's got to be a listing for accredited, or non, homeschooling people in the Education Dept. of the County that Jacksonville is in...listings like that are either by word of mouth, or mandatory...since it is a matter of public record how to get in contact with these people.

Do you have any friends/contacts in Jacksonville that can do the necessary research for you?

Call a big school in Jacksonville, ask for the secretary or school counselor, and simply ask one(or both) of them.

a Learning Tree type private center. It will cost money but the courses are generally taught by published authors, something most teachers aren't!

I would check with your local homeschool groups. They will often have co op classes for things like that.

Good luck!
