The world forgetting, by the world forgot
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
Each prayer accepted, and each wish resigned
-Alexander Pope

Thank you!

Alexander Pope says that the person who is able to forget the rest of the world (and be forgotten by them, since the person doesn't push himself into anyone's notice) and have a pure and innocent mind, is eternally happy, with each prayer of his accepted by God, and each wish granted.

I think.

I dont know what a Vestal is, but, when a person is blameless, it means , the person is of pure heart. Only people of pure heart can be really happy.
But, this Vestal doesnt care for public censure. Such a person does only what is right and just. And , world doesnt treasure such wothy people. Which is why "The world forgetting.."

Eternal Sunshine here, is the God's grace -Happiness bestowed on a person of crystal clear conscience.

Such a person only prays to God. Praying means to introspect, to be kind, just and being hopeful. (Prayer does not mean saying "Oh God give me this ,give me that blah blah..")
And, is grateful for all the mercies . Such a person never demands anything from God. He/She only loves God constantly and finds happiness in remembering HIm.

God, therefore accepts such prayers and grants without his follower's asking him.

It kinda seems like it's saying every wish is granted for a reason, but we all forgot what that reason was. Not sure though.
