I'm doing an essay taking the stance that animal testing is right, and one of my points is that there are strict regulations surrounding the tests.

I know there are, because I just finished doing a debate on this topic and my group member had brought this one rulebook type thing in and it was amazing... only I can't find it. Any help on this matter would be great!

UK sources, I'm afraid, are irrelevant, though, because I live in Canada. I think the regulations manual thing was international, though.

Thanks in advance!

I know that the word starts with an "e" and ends in "ism." At least I think it does...

Anyways, it means something along the lines of "preaching your religion to others."

I was always taught in school that the United States was a Republic rather than a Democracy. Republics elect representatives. Democracies vote on issues by the population itself. President Reagan first started calling the US a Democracy and claimed it the world's oldest. I was working in Saudi Arabia at the time and the British started claiming that Britain was the oldest Democracy. I said the US was a Republic and the UK was a Parliamentary Monarchy. Iceland with its Althing is by record the world's oldest Democracy. It's government which is small operates much like a town meeting. 800 years it has existed. Often accredited to Greek City States. Democracy cannot really work across a diverse or large population. Though that could change with such as computer voting. But I am pretty tired of presidential claims of Democracy. We are not. As in the Pledge of Allegiance "... to the Republic for which it stands."

You have a deck of 26 cards, each labeled with one of the 26 letters of the alphabet.(Each letter appears on exactly one card.) Suppose you choose three cards at random, one at a time, from this deck. What is the probability that you choose your cards in alphabetical order? (Example: choosing G, then R, then X is in alpahbetical order, but choosing R, then G, then X is not.) Don't make an approximation and tell me how you got the answer

I'm thinking about attending a boarding school for my sophmore-senior years, money permitting.

I was wondering if anyone would like to share their boarding school experiences with me. I'm trying to do as much research as possible on the subject. What was it like? How did you like it? Was it more academically stimulating than a normal high school? How homesick did you get, ect.
