Is there a word meaning something that you can't see, but you know it is there, and you feel it. I'm not looking for much of a noun, maybe an adjective.

Can't think of a word right now, though ethereal comes to mind even if it is not satisfactory. Both nonphysical and intangible could be considered, but these both refer to something that cannot be felt, and so are not appropriate for this question.
