I had a cumulative SAT score of 1180. GPA 1.7 Didn't give a crap in highschool and got crap grades. Went to a not-so-good state college and drank to much and flunked out. Something has clicked in the past year and I am ready to grow up.I would like to get into a good school away from people I know such as Penn State or Syracuse. Do I have a prayer and what can I do to improve my chances.

i know u cant use you in an essay. when ur writting an informative essay can you use we, they're, their, us, them, people. how am i suppose to make it more formal? also when you put a quote in the paragraph how are you suppose to cite it in the paragraph, (like give credit)?

My 2 year old son has just been diagnosed with Autism and we are told he will need ABA therapy. I have started to check on this and it is SO expensive. The cheapest I can find here where we live in COlorado is over $1,000 a month. I just want to know how people afford this. I can not afford to do this but I cant seem to find any help in paying for this for him. I want to get him all the therapy he needs but not sure how finacially to do this. I found out that I can get Medicade to help pay for
part of it but it takes over a year to get in the system.
Untill then I feel a little lost. My insurance will pay for him to get Speech therapy but no luck with the ABA part. I hear good things about this type of therapy and how it really helps children and want to do whatever I can for him. He is so young and early intervention with therapy will really help him but not sure what to do next. Does anyone know of any financal help to get therapy for children with Autism. Any help appricated.

In high school it used to be so easy to go home and finish all of my homework for the next day. I'm in college now and things are usually do for the next week. There are so many distractions like friends and activities on campus I never seem to want to do my work. I know my grades will suffer for it but can you tell me something that will help?

I'm 21 years old and fixing to finish my A.A (I know I'm a little behind, had trouble with finishing one class). I have considered many fields in the human services field, however none seem to spark an interest. I have a creative personality, I like to write(and good at it), and I like variety. I have thought about becoming a nurse but the idea of that much responsibility and seeing incompetent nurses and doctors makes me wary, also I'm not that good at math(hence the wait on the class-college algebra.) I like politics, keeping up with news, and want a job that helps people.(Also considering social work). Any jobs that anyone know of that emcompasses love for advising people, creative writing(or informational), i like to talk, and like to move around and be outside(though not a must). just some feedback, thanks!

I live in NYC. Never finished college but I work & raise 2 kids & I want my degree. I enrolled in an online correspondence school since going to school at night & weekends is impossible. My husband gets home after 9pm. Is it even worth it? My friend who is in HR said when resumes come in with any degree from ANY online school she's told to toss them. That's just 1 company's policy but am I wasting my time?? I have over 16 years experience as an Office Administrator & have worked at Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers & other big name firms but now want the degree to back it up. Is it the norm for companies to not accept these accreditted degrees? I come home help the kids with hw, make dinner, get them ready for bed, iron their uniforms then stay up until 11:30pm or later studying and doing the exams online and wonder if this is a waste of my time and money. I was so happy I was making this step & my friend saying that has stressed me out. Anyone out there know???

i try so hard in english but i can never get it right =(
i have to write a free style story. this is like hell for me. i have thought for like hours and hours and come up with a bit..
so far i have..
i was thinking the characters could be about 6 15-16 year old girls and they go on holiday to france. they would go to the beach a lot and meet new people there.. go on tourist trips and umm.. cant think of what could happen
