i would say the periodic table....because of that..we can see patterns that we couldn't see without it...such as electronegativity...weight... charge number and such. it has made a big impact in the world of chemistry...basically...it helps explain a little bit of everything you mentioned in your question.

but it's kinda like...w/o oxygen, the scientist who made those other ones wouldn't be able to breathe.

it all kinda started with oxygen....it's a key part for life on earth
