All. My girlfriend is a single mother in CA attending college. She recieves financial assistance and childcare. She will not be finished college until 2010. We would like to marry but are worried about loosing financial aid. If we get married will aid be lost instantly? Will we be assessed under joint income straight away? Is there anyway we can marry without impacting aid. Thanks. P.

Just curious if colleges look at the student's parents backgrounds... such as financial, criminal, etc.
Please, this is a serious issue for me and I would only appreciate serious and knowledgeable answers. Thanks! :-)

Never could figure out this issue of possessive nouns. If the noun ends with an "s", do you add an apostrophe without the extra "s" or not?

My best friend and I are having a very meaningless conversation and we need some clarification.

(Please take into account that it is 1.20am)

I said we have a 'dint' in the wall, but he says no it should be a 'dent' in the wall.

Which would you use?

(This dent/dint is about and inch and a half wide and is indented about the width of my pinkey)

Thanks for your help!

I can either stay at Baruch College and graduate on time with a 3.5 gpa which is ok. Or I can graduate from Indiana University a year to a year and a half later, be a couple of thousand in debt, but I would automatically have more opportunity in getting into a top MBA program when I'm older. What should I do?!! thanks

I start teaching next week in a very small school. I know many of the kids already from having been a student teacher and substitute and know there is one student who is very bossy. She is bossy to everybody, not just the teachers. I see her get shunned because of this and I am not too sympathetic to her plight because I know the bossiness has caused the shunning. Does anyone have any good ideas on how to deal with bossiness? I feel she would be a great leader if I could channel her energy in a positive direction. Any help would be great appreciated - school starts Tuesday, August 14!

I think it starts with N or D but I could be wrong.

It means something like 'to make up or create a new word'.

Thanks in advance.
