If some-one is poor at maths or arts, then that is that. So why do some people feel the need to call individuals who are poor at reading or writing dyslexic.
It has been proven, that if these people are given one to one attention they have no problem picking up these skills very quickly.
I think some people feel more comfortable, when their children are struggling with letters, to give a medical reason why "their perfect little child" is not as quick as they believe he/she should be.
Just as badly behaved children get away with A.D.H.D or obese people apparently suffer from ENHANCED APPETITE SYNDROME. We all have faults and should accept we are not perfect but please do not try to hide behind a so called medical problem.
