We are considering applying for a private student loan to cover additional costs for my son's education. He has received all he is allowed from Federal loans and grants. We are still short about $3000 for the year and other expenses such as insurance, travel home, computer and etc. He is getting ready to enter college next month but was wondering if we apply for loan now with the money disbursed directly to him not the school will they issue the check now or will it wait until he is actually attending next month??

I watched this rather stupid comedy called "Legally Blonde". The reason I call it a stupid comedy is mainly because of this scene I saw in beginning.

Near the beginning, she's in class at Harvard and the teacher just randomly picks her out of anyone to answer a question about what's being taught in class, she doesn't have the answer and the teacher tells her to just leave for the day.
What the hell ws up with that? That was like, really messed up..

I just finished applying to a school that requires me to have a 2.5 gpa.. but.. i really have a 2.0 gpa and 9 credits at my second school and a .40 average and 1 credit at my first school. Since I applied for Theather and not nursing.. or business do you think my chances at this school will be positive? or they might just deny me? Help please. I know I did bad my first semester but I think I did superior my second I showed great improvement. going from a .40 to a 2.0 I just want a chance.. to get better and to be a great student.

I am an Asian high school graduate student and I got accepted from these two universities. I would like to get some information to compare these two schools, so that I can choose which school to go to. I applied Economics as my major... but I am thinking of changing to double majoring in Engineering and Education.
Simply according to 1. UMB is more expensive than OSU and 2. Boston has more Japanese and Chinese speakers (since I know both) than OSU, I would choose to go to OSU.
But I would like to know whether I made the right decision and to know more about both schools.

The situation is: "___ (possibly famous) actress"
I'm confused, because the "possibly" would make it "a"...but if you didn't read the part in parentheses the "actress" would make it "an".

Which one and why?

I just wonder when it was that schools lost the ability to teach certain basic English rules. The one that particularly gets to me is the way most(?), particularly young, people speak and write the pronoun Me instead of "I." I'm not going to try to discuss object vs subject pronouns, but if a person would just say to themselves: Does it sound right if the "and ____" weren't there" For example: Sally writes: "Me and Billy went to school ..." Would she also say, if she was alone on the trip, "Me went to school"

If people would just think to say the other person first (e.g., Billy and ___), I think hey would naturally use the correct pronoun, and we would soon rid ourselves of this grammatical barbarism.

Do other people share my concern?

In a sentence that reads "The current process for storing a address in the systems will not change as part of this project.". My question is it accurate to say "as part of this project" or "as a part of this project". My understanding is that since project is a noun, it's more appropriate to use an article, in this case it's "a". I am somewhat challenged on use of articles.
