lots of schools run summer schemes. My daughters school runs them in Art and Drama. Some colleges run day schemes for children who parents work through the summer hols. Why not try to call some of them and ask if they have any assistant jobs. They are usually for 3 hours at a time.
Could also try leisure centres of you are sporty.

Perhaps you might check if there are day camps or summer school sessions in and around your area. Surely there are summer schools in SW London and area for primary and secondary students who want to re-do a course to get a better grade or who to get prepared for the next fall session. Being mid-July, it might to tough to get on one for the entire summer, but you try for August.

I had the same problem. I was a long-term substitute in the spring after student teaching and then signed a contract that doesn't start until August. I went through a staffing agency (I'm not sure if they have this where you are), and now I am working part-time as a receptionist. I can't wait to get back to teaching in the fall!

You could do a TEFL course and teach in a summer camp!Alternatively there are lots of other summer teaching oppertunities for all types of summer camps and also for children with special needs. Get online and search your area! You didn't mention what type of teaching you do so I hope this helps!
