I've heard that it is smaller than 4'10 or smaller than 5 feet....I'm 4'11 1\2 so I want to know...and is it true that if you are a dwarf...you get handicapped parking spaces?

I may have been unclear in my question on teaching reading to students who speaks Ebonics. I was not suggesting that we teach Ebonics, the students who already know it, that would be beating a dead horse. However, it is a common dialect and these are the students who tend to score poorly on reading assessments. I was simply looking for ideas on which teaching strategies seem to be the most effective.

I am asking if we should teach standard American English and reading to students who already speak Ebonics as if standard English is their second language or second dialect(whichever you choose).

If the students are already speaking Ebonics, should we teach standard American English to them in order to enhance their reading skills?

What other suggestions do you have for overcoming the Ebonics language challenge in order to produce an outstanding reading student?

I'm 27, I have no job. I kept getting dead in jobs that were going no where. I could see myself literally going no where. I don't want to be an older adult woman unable to support myself financially. I don't have a degree so in looking for a job, I just have to get what I can get. I'm embarassed about not having a job. But I felt stuck, I want more. I wish I had gone to college at like 18 or 19. What should I do is 27 too late. I'm not a kid, I need a job. But I also need a future. And there's not much out here without a degree. Unless you luck up with a good paying job.

im the type of guy that is not really concernced about getting married until my mid thirties. after finishing first year, i am seriously contemplating on attaining a quadruple major in economics, finance, business and psychology. has anybody here ever spearheaded such an endaevour? if so, how long does it take to complete on average? in addition, do you think it is worth it?

the college or university should be a public school.
don't name school's such as Harvard, Princeton, or Yale because im not that smart.
the school could be anywhere in america EXCEPT: Alabama
the college/university should be a school that doesn't have a problem with a person with a different race.
my goal is to become a CRNA, thats why i want a good school with a good nursing program.

I'm soon going to be a senior in High School, and I'm very unsure as to what I want my major to be. I know you don't have to know until later, but I want to be able to start specializing my classes since I'm also taking college courses this year.

I guess I should tell you a little about me. I'm good at almost all math that is not trigonometry, I love politics, government, science, and I'm decent at English. I really don't like the college I'm going to at the moment. Being cheap and close to home was why I chose it. After thinking about it I eventually want to go to med school. But I hate the undergraduate program I'm currently in. Becuase this college is in my city my parents have logic forced me to live at home even if I'm 20. They still treat me like a tween and I'm super bored with it all. This is convience, should I stay here or choose the risky happiness?
There is a school in another city that offers a program I would luv doing, and would be able to transfer most if not all my credits towards it.I don't just want to do a major in biology and chemistry like ever other med applicant, I want to do the med school requirements in a program I'll ENJOY for 4 years(thus higher G.P.A and looks like I actually have a mind of my own).This school also makes ppl live in dorms for 1st year and encourages ppl to socialize.It is more expensive(dorms), but I would be happier,small classes,new ppl...

This question is from the show Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader:
How many possessive pronouns are there in the sentence:
"John asked Mary if he could borrow her bike because his had a flat tire."
I believe the answer given as correct in the show was wrong. What do you think? Please, don't just give a number, say why you think there's an X number of possessive pronouns. Thanks.
