Hi - most cases of dwarfism involve Disproportionate Dwarfism; more than 200 different medical conditions cause dwarfism. Therefore, dwarfism symptoms — other than short stature — vary considerably across the spectrum of disorders. In general, the disorders are divided into two broad categories: ■Disproportionate dwarfism. If body size is disproportionate, some parts of the body are small, and others are of average size or above-average size. Disorders causing disproportionate dwarfism inhibit the development of bones. ■Proportionate dwarfism. A body is proportionately small if all parts of the body are small to the same degree and appear to be proportioned like a body of average stature. Those people who are proportionately small are usually called 'short stature' rather than dwarfs. Society has deemed that 'dwarf' means someone who is unusually short and malformed. Good luck.

From an article (linked below) about dwarfism:
---
Dwarfism:
is a condition characterized by short stature. Technically, that means an adult height of 4 feet 10 inches or under, according to the advocacy group Little People of America (LPA).
---
Dwarfism is an ADA covered disability. If diagnosed, you are eligible to get a placard for your vehicle. Here is an excerpt from a radio broadcast transcript (Voice America) on the matter:
---
JOYCE BENDER: [...] My question, Matt, do you feel that most people who are little people understand that they are covered by the ADA? And how do you think they feel about that?
MATT ROLOFF: I would say that most people now, that is a very good question, it's very recent sort of turnover, I think a lot of little people that were, say, 4 foot in height, felt that they had very good mobility, they didn't use any crutches or wheelchairs or any accessibility or mobility devices, so they may have felt a little bit like they didn't need a handicap parking permit, for example, or take advantage of the ADA. But I think more in recent years little people are recognizing that there is -- we are educating the people in our organization that, you know, it's dangerous to walk in a parking lot and the people with the mini vans and SUVs, when people back up, they can't see the little person. So we encourage our members to get their handicap placard for safety reasons, if not mobility issues.
---
good luck!

Your height is considered "low normal." I don't know if people who are dwarfs get handicapped parking spaces, but I know that you won't get one.
