What kind of diploma? Is it bachelor's level? Associates degree or non-degree certificate?

Most public health programs are graduate level, meaning you need a bachelors degree to qualify. I had a BA in biology and I earned a masters degree in public health (MPH). Many of my classmates had degrees in statistics, math, anthropology, sociology, English, and nursing. You can study anything and get into a MPH program, so long as you get the bachelors degree first.

There are undergraduate-level degree programs, but those are harder to find. Otherwise, you may want to look into your state's requirements for licensure of public health nurses. In CA, there's another exam you take to be certiiedas a PHN. It's not a degree, though.

Hi there

If you wish to get a good degree in Public Health, I would advise you to have a look at the range of MSc the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine offers.

They are very renowned and a friend of mine who studied there was really happy with the quality of the teaching and with the institution in general.

Their website is www.lshtm.ac.uk.

I hope that helps.
