i am admitted to JYOTI NIVAS COLLEGE in 1st yr.ba(eng.phyco.sociology).i wanted to know if comming banglore is the right decision regarding my future.

Question: I recently obtained my J.D. degree. However, my grades were not that hot. However, I definitely feel in retrospect, if I were given the second chance to "redo" law school, I'd be able to do much better. I was just wondering if I had the chance to pursue another J.D. degree, at another school - and thus as a result had another chance to do better and get good grades - would that be a good idea? On one hand, I know what good grades can open up for you - clerkships, increased job opportunities, or a path in teaching; on the other hand: is getting 2 J.D.s a good idea? Is it career suicide? Will people look upon it strangely? Is it just so abnmoral/unconventional that it may be negative, even though you would be able to get better grades the second time around? Just wondering what other practitioners, professors, students, etc. thought about this?

Our daughter has always displayed certain characteristics of being gifted but we've never had her tested. Of course the school district in our area tests for free, however, if she isn't enrolled in public school is she still entitled to be tested without charge? We still pay school taxes but I'm not sure if they will give us a problem. Another question, do you think it's actually necessary for one to know if a child is gifted and if so why? What difference would this make? Is there an advantage to knowing?

So I am a few years off from having to worry about this but I do not want my child to participate in the D.A.R.E. program. I feel it is an unsuccessful program and will be a waste of her educational time at school. I also feel that her father and I will do a better job educating her on this topic at home. From what I remember parents have to sign a permission slip for their child to particpate in the program. Has anyone not had their child participate in D.A.R.E. and did you have any difficulties with parents, the school, etc afterwards?

I am applying to law schools this summer, anyone out there have an opinion on whether or not it is beneficial to visit law schools that I want to attend. Does it help with admission if the schools do not offer evaluative interviews?

what did you or do you do when you become so bored and disengaged with school... what made or makes you continue on... what advice would you give to someone who just didn't want to do it anymore like me... I hate just going to school, its not enough for me I get bored and just tune out, its like I need more than just school or something.... so basically how did you make it through college when you didn't really want to be there?

will you show your GMAT score to a potential employer during a job interview just to let them know that they shouldn't judge you based on which school you are attending now (or graduated from)?

*I understand that a person's GMAT score isn't the most important aspect to getting a job. However, by showing a potential employer that you are just as academically gifted as a person who attended a prestigious B-school will definitely help your chances of being hired. Correct?

THe MA program I'm looking into applying to says this:

"Language Requirement: At the beginning of the 3rd semester of study, MA students are required to satisfy a French Language Requirement demonstrating a reading knowledge of French."

So are they only going to only accept people into this program if they have French courses on their Undergraduate transcript? AND say I did get accepted. How am I supposed to learn enough French in 2 semesters to satisfy this requirement?

i've looked into taking some classes online for a bachelors...the thing is, i dont know how to check out the school to make sure its not bogus before i enroll and start putting money into this. the school i'm interested in is kaplan university online, he said a bunch of believeable stuff over the phone, but how do i make sure this school isnt just trying to take my money and give me a diploma that i wont be able to use? any help or suggestions is appreciated! thanks!
