Although some scholarships are set up so you can only use them to pay for tuition, books, fees, etc. most others allow you to use the money as needed for school, so definitely get as many as you can. Try fastweb.com for help.

Get as much free money as possible, then look at grants and loans.

Government grants can usually be used for whatever expenses you have, and educational loans are a low interest way to finance college and allow you to go to school without working. You'll have debt when you come out, but depending on your field, there may be programs that you can apply for to forgive your loans.

Good luck!

Are you living on campus? If the answer is no, then no, you cannot get more money than you are paying for your education through the government/school.

However, you can do something. Apply for scholarships. Go to your school's financial aid center and pick up all the scholarship forms you qualify for. Check out your community for scholarship programs. Take the time and apply for each and every one you can. That's money you get to keep and use to pay for whatever you need when it comes to your education, including your living expenses, unless it specifies certain restrictions. I highly recommend doing that.

Good luck!
