well im a junior in highschool and i just wanted to ask how hard it is to become a doctor? what was your GPA? class rank? how difficult were thr MCATs? How long was your residency? What do you specialize in? Is it hard?
Dentists-- was the dental test you took difficult? how long did it take you to get accepted to a dental school?
i have a 3.7 GPA and i take all advanced classes (AP) and i am ranked 69 out of 560...i am good at math and science but they are not my favorite subjects...is it vital to be excellent at math and science to be a medical specialist? or can you just be okay at it?

They say nothing rhymes with purple, and i've said turlte does, and they just laugh and scoff... but think about it - between the words, there are only 2 letters that are different - "PurPle and TurTle". thats pretty similar. and of course, if you say them quickly they sound very similar... So do these words rhyme or not?

Okay, one of the many parts to admission at Oberlin Conservatory is the online Music Theory Exam.

I took it, but I really think there was a problem in the test. In the beginning of the test, there was a section in which there were six answer boxes, but only three questions. Therefore, I got a 50% on that part. That was on VERY simple "What note is this?" material. Yet, at the same time, I got a perfect score on notated triads and intervals, so obviously, I could read the notes.

My question is two-parted: because of the errors I think I found in the test, do you think I should send the Admissions Staff an e-mail? Also, how big of a role does the Music Theory Exam play in getting accepted?

My fear is that if I explain myself, that I will look bad in front of admissions, as if I'm trying to make excuses.

Also, if anyone knowns specifically, it would be nice to know what the minimum passing grade is for that test. With the errors, I got a 70.......

I'm sure there is a term for the case where an (often) archaic term is corrupted or misspelled/misused somehow to form a new phrase, which is then adopted as common slang. As a very basic example, things like "less" being commonly used where "fewer" should be used, and "made of" in place of "made with". There are whole clichés and phrases based on this principle though. What is it known as?

Does this girl like me?
I like this girl in my school that I find pretty hot but i dont know if she likes me back. Last year , I sat next to her in math and she would always poke me with her pencil and try to act funny. At my middle school graduation i was also next to her and 1 min. we were talking and like after 5 min. shes like, " i forgot u were here." wtf? I typed "scriven" on search bar of Dictionary section at following 10 dictionary websites and searched the meaning about 15 minutes ago, but could not find the meaning at the search:

Merriam Webster's website displays "scriven can be found at Merriam-WebsterUnabridged.com" " at http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/scriven,... but financially I cannot subscribe the Unabridged version now.
