Would you please introduce me a website that lists meaning of the word 'scriven'?

I typed "scriven" on search bar of Dictionary section at following 10 dictionary websites and searched the meaning about 15 minutes ago, but could not find the meaning at the search:
answers.com, askoxford.com, dict.die.net, encarta.msn.com, infoplease.com, m-w.com, thefreedictionary.com, wordnet.princeton.edu, wordsmyth.net, wordwebonline.com.

Merriam Webster's website displays "scriven can be found at Merriam-WebsterUnabridged.com" " at http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/scriven,... but financially I cannot subscribe the Unabridged version now.

Thank you for your time and help!

According to my hard copy of the Compact OED, scriven means to "write as a scrivener does."

A scrivener is a "professional penman; a scribe, copyist; a clerk, secretary, amanuensis", a notary, or a one who "received money to place out at interest, and who supplied those who wanted to raise money on security", a primitive banker.

Therefore, it appears that "to scriven" means to write professionally, or as a secretary.

Hope that helped!

Look up "scrivener." It originally meant "writer," like "scribe," but it later evolved into the job title of official writers, like secretaries or notaries.

In some poems, the word "scriven" has been used to mean "written" or "inscribed."
