Hiya! We are learning inequalities in math class and I really do not get it. Now, go slowly, cuz I suck at math.
First off, what is an inequality? How do you solve one? Do all inequlaties have variables like x or y? And in an inequality, what does the little less than sign with a line under it mean?

Lastly, can you help me with solving this inequality?
x - __<__ 2
FYI, this- __<__ is supposed to be the less than sign with a line under it.

Thankies!

I graduated from elementary to high school in NYC. My native language is not English but I do speak it fluently.
Do I need to take the test?
I mean, my friend said if someone resides in USA for more than 5 years does not need to take it.
If I have to take it, it means that if someone came to USA from other country when they were 6 or 7 has to take ithe exam because they are not native speaker? I don't get it.
Isn't there any rules for the test takers?
Please help!

We just got this new Biology teacher in the middle of the year. He is terrible. He is very inexperienced. He is asian which I have nothing against. Everyone's grade went way down since he came. No one has learned nothing new. When you ask for help, he says"I can't give you the answer"when the student was asking for help not the answer. He sometimes will not tell us what our home work is then the next day he asks if we did our homework. The tests he makes have nothing to do with the subject or anything in the book. He only gives us 5-minutes for something that he says takes 30-minutes. He even blocked the door during a fire drill and told everyone to go back to their seats. He has also called several black students the N word. He is not smart either. He mispelled day. He spelled it "daye". Just to let you know, that is not how they spell day in Asia. They use characters in Asia. What should I do with this teacher?

I'm having problems paying for college, as I have absolutely no money, and I'm only going to be 17 this year. My parents make a lot of money so I'm hardly eligible for financial aid that I know of, plus they're not giving me any of it or co-signing on student loans. Basically I can't get scholarships because my parents are rich, and I'm a white, non-disabled, atheist male with a 3.2 GPA and average SAT scores. Besides joining the military or something similar to that, what options are available to me to get money for college?

Problem:
The car has a standard transmission, so it had to be put in gear by shifting three times during the 15 seonds in which the speed was being measured. The accelerator was being depressed at a constant rate during the 15-second period and then released at the same rate until the pedal was no longer being depressed.

Table, time is x, speed is y, in each an ordered pair:
(x,y),
(1,6),
(2,14),
(3,20),
(4,30)
(5,35.5)
(6,40),
(7,48),
(8,52),
(9,54),
(10, 57),
(11, 61),
(12, 65.5),
(13, 66.5),
(14, 67),
(15, 68.2),
(16, 65),

I'm supposed to graph it using a scatterplot and determine the equation of best fit. I graphed it, but I don't know how to find the equation of best fit, if you could help, (AND EXPLAIN IT), not just give me the answer, that'd be really great, thanks!
