Education & Reference - 12 February 2007

I can figure out my average but i think it will suffer because of I talk too much in tech. My computer in tech is always broken so i could only hand a few assignments. However, my tech teacher doesn't know my name yet, so that means she doesn't keep a constant eye on me. However, i have been yelled at one or two times for talking too much with my neighbors. I usually get very good grades, so if i get anything below an 85% my parents will be incredibly dissapointed. In addition to that, the week after report card week is president's week, so i have no school, if i get a bad grade in tech my vacation will be ruined. Also, my parents have a lot going on. We just moved and my old house flooded and collapsed, the insurance expired, and we need to rebuild that house. A bad grade would make my parents really angry, so honestly if you were my teacher what would you give me in tech?
Also, I want to know my total average (in numbers) i will post my other grades here l8r on.

I need something controversial, but also having to do (at least slightly) with a type of technology. I would prefer something relatively new so that we haven't all heard the same debate over and over, but also something with enough information available. Thw entire debate, including questions from the audience, is tweny minutes long. A topic where technical information could actually be used as part of the debate itself would be great, but not necessary. Finally, it should be easily researched and debated from either side.

I am curious if there are other ways to go with this. I have had the degree over 10 years and have taught occasionally, but never really felt like this was for me. I now have 3 young children and work part time (just for a paycheck, not because I like it) and am interested in picking up a career again once they are all in school (about 2 years) I like writing (but not sure how good I am) and working on anything creative. I am very bad at art and drawing but like to think of new ideas and stories. I would love to work with PBS and do something with Children's television, either writing or working for the local station in some capacity. Any thoughts?
