Won and lost in this sentence would mean that he was gambling and if he won 20 chips he won a hand...if he lost 15 chips, he lost the hand. so..won means adding chips to total and lost means subtracting chips...

won 20 lost 15 won 14 lost 13
+20 - 15 + 14 - 13
5 + 14 - 13
19 - 13
6 added to whatever she had to start with...or that she has won 6 chips...

Bob must have been playing poker, the chips are used in place of money. If he won 20 chips and then lost 15 chips, he has only actually won 5 if the game is over. 20-15=5

The final count would depend on how many chips Bob began with. If Bob had x chips, the final count would be x+6. Who ever heard of a girl named Bob?

won is gained i.e. a plus, a loss is a loss is a loss i.e. minus
+20 -15 +14 -13.
You can't know the final count because you don't know how many Bob started with, only that he finished with 6 more.

It is very sad, but we all have to go at some time to make room for the next generation. He has done very well. I celebrate what he is and will always be. A great man with a great mind. I agree it will be a sad loss but he will never die really. Not only will his work live on but his conscious awareness will remain. Who knows he may even decide to have another go. Death is just the beginning. :) Practicing Shaman... quantum physics rocks.
