I've got the chance to spend a semester in Jilin College in China. I'm pretty sure i'm going to go. But i'm wondering what are the hidden problems in going/living/studying there?

All advice appreciated

First, peep out what you will need to get out there.. z-visa.com is an excellent resource of information for what you need to obtain the study visa, and they can process it for you if you don't live near a consulate.. Prepare yourself for culture shock. Living in China without knowing the language is equal to being illiterate.

there are so many friggin people there, when i was there for a month i felt like i was going to scream....it was like a pencil walking in a see of little wooden match sticks....just horribly crowded

if i could go back i would have picked a different place to spend my time...i was there for a project while in law school and could have done without the experience

but hey you might like it and could have a great time there
