Conclusion
References

-Introduction (in this order)
~Catchy Opening Phrase
~Some words about the topic in general and others who have studied it, especially why the topic is important
~Your thesis statement
~Description of what you are going to talk about in the paper in order (First I will discuss how ... then ...)

- Body
Should have at least 3 paragraphs
In the order you choose: one paragraph that has a point to back up your thesis, a second paragraph with a new point to back up your thesis, and a third paragraph to discuss the opposing point to your thesis and then your views on that

- Conclusion (in this order)
~ Restate what you discussed (in new words)
~ Restate why it is important (in new words)
~ Say something catchy to end the paper

Generally the shape of a paper is like an hour glass that goes introduction - broad to specific and to conclusion - specific to broad.

Start with forming your thesis and your main points. Most people prefer to right the body of the paper first then go back and write the intro and conclusion.

References refer to where you got informatin to back up your thesis. Books, websites, etc..

Thesis is the main point/statement of the paper

You may have a specified format. If you are using MLA syle, there is a specific format. I would think of the main headings and get all of those down. then go back in and think about small points to make under each main heading.
