Four volumes of International recipes are in order on a shelf. The total pages of each volume are 5 cm thick. Each cover is 5mm thick. A bookworm started eating at page 1 of Volume 1 and stopped eating at the last page of Volume 4. How do i find the magnitude of friction force when i know: μs μk and Mass?

its supposed to be if it is a block on a table at rest. and the only other force acting on it is gravity!

I am a straight E student at high school and for my 3rd quater science teacher, i was assigned a disorganized science teacher.
each day, she has the class put our home works into a messy pile on her desk. each day when i walk in, that is the first thing i do. on friday she was giving out homw work and i did not get my assignment back (i needed it to study for a test). i talked to her after class, and she told me that she did not get my assignment. i told her that i did it and handed it in on time. she said she would check in another pile she had at home with the other unchecked assignments from different classes (at the same time, over the weekend i searched my entire house but remained unsuccessful). today i asked her if she found it and she said no that i did not do it. so now im going to get penalized for a late assignment. MY HEART SANK WHEN I WAS ACCUSED FOR MISSING AN ASSIGNMENT!! PLZ HELP I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!

I've looked it up and it says that it is "relating to a paradigm", and I know what a paradigm is, but I just don't get it. Here's the sentence I'm working with: "Whatever, remaining the same individual, will develop into a paradigmatic instance of a substantial kind already is an actual instance of that kind."

I understand the sentence in general, but just not the paradigmatic part. Any English geniuses?

I started redaing this book and it is definitely a tough book.. i have to write an essay on it too.
I have 3 questions about this book.
I'm not sure what Auugustin's purpose of writing this book. what was his goal in writing City of God?
And what are all the differences between the city of God and the City of Man.. well.. i think one represents the church.. like city made up of christians and the other represents kinds of wordly corrupt greedy people...or pagans.. i dunno.. what are the differences between to cities? if u can explain to me specifically... it will be great...
And i know that he had sorta wicked youth..had a baby.. was not a christian.. and believed in things like Manichaean..How did the lifestyle of Augustine's youth influenced this book. pleaz tell me if u know..
