""a child...plays tag..." NOT "a child...play tag..."
In singular, use the "s" at the end of the verb (in this case play). Children play tag.

The verb "play" needs to be "plays" to agree in number (third person singular) with the noun "child." The way it is currently written has "play" agreeing with the word "clothes" which is part of a prepositional phrase. Whenever you have questions such as this, mentally delete the phrases, etc. that come between the noun and verb. Doing so makes it much easier to determine agreement.

A oeriod shouldn't be at the beginning of the sentence, plays instead of play.
