A student recieved a grade of a D in a Math course. THe student has a very good academic relationship with this teacher. This student always asked for help when he/she needed it. This student also recieved tutoring from the teacher many, many times and the teacher was always patient and helpful. Now after taking the course and recieving a grade of a D. The student realized that he/she needs a grade of a C in order to not to take the course again which would be very expensive and time consuming. THe teacher did all that he could do during the time of teaching the class, and the student did all that he/she could do. How should the student approach the teacher about changing the grade and what should the student say?

Hi there! I am considering going to the University of Maryland at College Park for grad school. I would like to start looking at apartments. Now I know the Washington D.C. area does not generally have a safe reputation. Could you please tell me what neighborhoods I should consider moving to if/when I go to UMD? Hyattsville, Greenbelt, Adelphi, etc.? Please tell me the names of the good and the bad. This will help me narrow my search. Any other tips about living in the College Park Maryland area would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

All my teachers know me as an A student, but here and there I obviously plagerize. Anyway, I now got caught plagiarizing a 5-line paragraph from the internet (my literature teacher is really bored and she looked up on google). The rest of the essay was written by me.

She sent me an email asking me to explain it. She also put the website's link.

A bunch of former classmates and I would like to have a school reunion in June 2008 for our headmaster's retirement. Our school is an international school and therefore some of our former students would probably have to fly in from all corners of the world. It is a fairly small school and I think in total it has had about 3000 graduates over its entire history. I am trying to figure out what the steps would be to plan this event from the internet but the info is mostly geared to the US and not applicable to Switzerland.

We do not have professional reunion planners in Geneva, so it will probably be up to us alumni to organize the event. 130 people have already shown interest in attending within the last week.

Most of the organizers are in their early twenties, but we want to get all of this right! Do you have any suggestions for us? The plan so far is to have it over a long weekend in the end of June 2008.
