It is a little surprising you have had no answers, but then it is also a little surprising you would start here to ask such a general question.

I don't know India very well, so this may not be useful, but in America we have a long-standing institution called the Yellow Pages. It used to be a service of the phone company back when the phone company was a monopoly, but now it's a separate entity. It is an index of phone numbers, including advertising that can cover a full page or just be a single listing of name and phone number, of businesses and people who do contract work and non-profit organization, and all sorts of things. And that index is now on line in America, and probably there is something similar in India on-line. If not, you can make a fortune setting one up.

Anyway, in such an index, as in any Internet search, what you mostly need is WHO to ask. And in this case, the obvious answer is the law school. Whatever they call it, there is some formal training associated with the law, and in English we call that law school. Those are the people who will know what happens after they teach you all they are able to teach you. No doubt there is a certification program, and a bar association, and all of that, although exactly how they are structured my differ quite a lot. But all such professions need to have a professional interest in the people who want to learn, who want to join them in their profession.

So while I can't tell you anything about the details, I'd say look up the nearest law school and talk to the admissions officer. Go there and visit if they are close.

As to how to be a SUCCESSFUL attorney, that's easy: be a good attorney and represent clients who can pay you. Either clients who have money, or clients who will get money through your efforts and your fee will be a share in what they get. You win cases for clients, and develop a reputation as a gentleman who plays by the rules, who has honor and integrity, and you will do very well indeed.
